MerinoLink 2020 MLP Results

Welcome to the online collection of MerinoLink MLP 2020 results. The MerinoLink MLP Site is hosted by Moses & Son, Temora NSW and is a partnership between Moses & Son, MerinoLink Inc, Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) and the Australian Merino Sire Evaluation Association (AMSEA).

Browse through the results documents and presentations at your convenience. Provided are wool / carcase and reproduction results presented for the sire groups, plus background information about the MLP project.

An Inspection Day was held (pre-shearing) in October – all the MLP ewes in both the 2016 and 2017 drops were displayed in their sire groups with their current results. A Results Webinar was held in November (following shearing) where the interesting early snippets from the MerinoLink results were be presented along with a site update, background info and a Q&A panel.

*Note: the presented reports are designed to be used in their entirety to fully understand their context. If you have any queries please send the MLP Team an email using the form below.

MerinoLink MLP Sire Groups

There are 700+ MLP ewes from the 2016 and 2017 drops at the MerinoLink site. These ewes are the result of AI programs using 13 sire joinings in each year drop.

The MLP ewes are being assessed across their lifetime for wool, carcase and reproduction. Both measured and classed results are collected and reported in sire groups. The 2016 drop ewes have had their fifth wool assessment and have finished their third reproduction cycle. The 2017 drop ewes have had their fourth wool assessment and have finished their second reproduction cycle.
