Muresk is an 898ha property owned and managed by the Department of Training and Workforce Development located in the Avon Valley region, 100 kilometres north east of Perth. The climate is described as Mediterranean with an average annual rainfall of 400-420mm. Muresk is a mixed enterprise farm that includes a 300ha winter cropping program, a housed piggery, self-replacing Dohne and Merino flocks and a self-replacing herd of Murray Grey cattle.
The sheep are to be easy care based on/because of good conformation and constitution. Medium to large frame. Bright white stylish wool free from colour and water faults. Wool cut to be sufficient to balance wool production with body size to ensure both add real value to the bottom line.
